Preheat the air fryer: Set to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes. A warm basket helps the toast crisp faster.
Par-cook the garlic toast: Place frozen slices in the basket in a single layer. Air fry for 2–3 minutes until just starting to crisp but not browned.
This prevents soggy centers.
Add sauce: Remove the toast and spread 1–2 tablespoons of sauce on each slice. Don’t overdo it—too much sauce can make it soggy.
Add cheese and toppings: Sprinkle mozzarella evenly. Add pepperoni or thinly sliced veggies.
Keep toppings light so the cheese melts nicely.
Air fry to finish: Return the topped toasts to the basket. Cook at 375°F for 4–6 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden.
Check doneness: Peek at 4 minutes. Every air fryer runs a little different.
If the cheese needs more color, add 1–2 minutes.
Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with Parmesan, red pepper flakes, or Italian seasoning. Add fresh basil or parsley. Let cool 1–2 minutes before biting—hot cheese!
