Prep the air fryer: Preheat to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Lightly oil the basket or use a perforated parchment liner.
Mix the base: In a large bowl, add ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, grated onion, garlic, Worcestershire, Dijon, salt, pepper, and any optional spices. Stir gently with a fork or your hands until just combined. Don’t overmix.
Shape the patties: Divide into 4 equal portions for larger patties or 6 for sliders.
Form into 1/2-inch thick rounds. Press a small dimple in the center of each to prevent puffing.
Light oil: Brush or spray the tops with a thin coat of olive oil. This helps browning and prevents sticking.
Air fry, first side: Place patties in a single layer, spaced out.
Cook 6–7 minutes at 375°F.
Flip and finish: Flip patties. Air fry 4–6 more minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Use an instant-read thermometer for accuracy.
Rest and serve: Let patties rest 3 minutes.
Serve on toasted buns with your favorite toppings, or pair with veggies and grains.
Optional cheeseburger move: In the last minute, add a slice of cheese and close the air fryer to melt.
