Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds baby potatoes (gold or red), halved or quartered if large
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or avocado oil)
  • 1 tablespoon dry ranch seasoning mix (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional for extra punch)
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional for color and depth)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, more to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan (optional, for finishing)
  • Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges or a drizzle of ranch dressing (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer: Set it to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes. Hot baskets help crisp the potatoes faster.
  • Prep the potatoes: Rinse, pat dry thoroughly, and cut into even pieces about 1–1.5 inches. Dry potatoes = crisp potatoes.
  • Season: In a large bowl, toss potatoes with olive oil, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  • Air fry: Add to the basket in a single layer. A little overlap is okay, but avoid piling. Cook for 14–18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway, until golden and fork-tender.
  • Finish: Toss with Parmesan if using. Taste and adjust salt. Sprinkle with fresh herbs.
  • Serve: Add a squeeze of lemon or a light drizzle of ranch if you like. Enjoy hot and crispy.
