Total Time18 minutes
Servings: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 12 dill pickle spears (drained and patted dry)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for warmth)
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 12 slices deli turkey or ham (thin, but not paper-thin)
  • 12 slices provolone or cheddar (optional, for extra melt)
  • Cooking spray (avocado or olive oil)
  • Toothpicks (to secure wraps)

Instructions

  • Prep the pickles: Drain the pickle spears and pat them very dry with paper towels. The drier they are, the crisper your wraps will get in the air fryer.
  • Mix the filling: In a bowl, stir together cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika (if using), and a few grinds of black pepper until smooth.
  • Assemble the wraps: Lay a slice of deli meat flat. Spread a thin, even layer of the cream cheese mixture over it. If using sliced cheese, add a half slice on top. Place one pickle spear along the edge and roll up snugly.
  • Secure and trim: Use 2–3 toothpicks to secure each roll. If the ends overhang a lot, trim slightly so everything fits in your air fryer basket.
  • Chill briefly: Pop the rolls into the fridge for 10–15 minutes. This helps them hold their shape and keeps the cheese firm.
  • Preheat the air fryer: Heat to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes. Lightly coat the basket with cooking spray.
  • Air fry: Arrange wraps in a single layer with a little space between each. Air fry for 6–9 minutes, turning once halfway, until the meat edges are lightly browned and the outside feels crisp.
  • Rest and slice: Let the wraps rest for 3 minutes so the cheese sets slightly. Remove toothpicks, then slice each wrap into 2–3 bite-size pieces if serving as appetizers.
  • Serve: Plate with your favorite dips: ranch, spicy mayo, or honey mustard all work great.
