Servings: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count)
  • Nutella or chocolate-hazelnut spread (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash; optional but recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon water (to mix with the egg for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
  • Optional add-ins: sliced banana, sliced strawberries, mini chocolate chips, chopped hazelnuts, cinnamon sugar
  • Nonstick spray or parchment rounds safe for air fryers

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer: Set to 325°F (165°C). If your air fryer needs time to come to temperature, let it warm while you prep.
  • Prep the basket: Lightly spray the basket with nonstick spray or line it with an air-fryer-safe parchment round to prevent sticking.
  • Open and separate the dough: Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles along the perforations.
  • Add the filling: Place about 1 to 2 teaspoons of Nutella on the wide end of each triangle. Don’t overfill—too much will leak out.
  • Optional extras: Add a thin slice of banana or strawberry, a few mini chips, or a pinch of chopped hazelnuts on top of the Nutella.
  • Roll them up: Starting at the wide end, roll each triangle toward the point. Tuck in the sides slightly to keep the filling inside, and curve the ends into a crescent shape.
  • Egg wash: Beat the egg with 1 tablespoon of water. Brush the tops of the rolls lightly. This helps them brown beautifully.
  • Air fry in batches: Place 4 rolls in the basket, leaving space between them. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown. Cooking time varies by air fryer model.
  • Cool briefly: Let the rolls rest for 2 to 3 minutes after cooking. The filling will be very hot and sets as it cools.
  • Finish and serve: Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with melted chocolate. Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.
