Preheat the air fryer. Set to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
A hot basket helps the crust crisp quickly.
Prepare your surface. Lightly flour or dust with cornmeal. This makes shaping easier and prevents sticking.
Shape the dough. Divide dough if needed based on basket size. Gently stretch into a rough circle, then pinch the bottom point of the heart.
Use your fingers or a small knife to create the two upper curves. Aim for about 1/4 inch thick.
Par-cook the crust. Lightly oil the basket or place a parchment liner with holes. Brush the dough with a thin coat of olive oil.
Air fry for 2–3 minutes until slightly puffed. This prevents sogginess under the toppings.
Add sauce and cheese. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce—don’t overdo it. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly and add a pinch of oregano if you like.
Top thoughtfully. Add pepperoni or other toppings in a heart-accent pattern if you want it cute.
Keep toppings in a single light layer so they cook through.
Air fry until golden and bubbly. Cook 5–7 minutes at 375°F (190°C), checking at minute 4. Cheese should be melted with golden spots, and the crust should be browned at the edges.
Adjust for your air fryer. If the top browns too fast, lower to 350°F. If the bottom needs more time, cook 1–2 extra minutes.
Finish and serve. Let rest 1–2 minutes.
Add Parmesan, a drizzle of olive oil, fresh basil, and a crack of black pepper if desired. Slice and serve warm.
