Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.
A preheated basket helps the mushrooms start crisping immediately.
Prepare the basket: Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray if it tends to stick. This also boosts browning.
Load the mushrooms: Add frozen breaded mushrooms in a single layer. Do not thaw. Leave a little space between pieces for good airflow.
Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 8 minutes.
Shake the basket or flip the mushrooms.
This helps them brown evenly and prevents any soggy spots.
Continue cooking for another 4–7 minutes, depending on the size and brand. Total time is usually 12–15 minutes. They’re done when the coating is deep golden and crisp, and the centers are hot and tender.
Season and serve: Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper if needed.
Add a squeeze of lemon and fresh herbs for brightness. Serve hot with your favorite dip.
