Prep the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly oil the basket or use a perforated parchment liner made for air fryers.
Shape the base: If using raw dough, dust lightly with flour or cornmeal and press into an 8–9 inch round, about 1/4 inch thick. If using naan or a tortilla, you’re ready to assemble.
Par-cook the crust (important): Air-fry the plain crust for 3–4 minutes (tortilla: 2 minutes; naan: 2–3 minutes). This keeps the bottom crisp even after adding toppings.
Add sauce and cheese: Spread cream cheese, ricotta, or pizza sauce in a thin layer.
Top with half the shredded cheese to create a cushion for the egg.
Add toppings: Scatter cooked bacon, sausage, or ham, and your sliced veggies. Keep toppings light so the egg cooks evenly.
Add the egg: For a whole egg, create a shallow well in the cheese and crack the egg in. For scrambled style, whisk the egg with a pinch of salt and pepper and drizzle it over the toppings.
Finish with cheese and season: Sprinkle the remaining cheese around (not over) the yolk if using a whole egg.
Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Air-fry: Cook at 350–360°F (175–182°C) for 5–8 minutes, depending on your air fryer and egg preference. Check at minute 5. The crust should be crisp and browned, cheese melted, and the egg set to your liking.
For a runny yolk, pull earlier; for a firmer egg, add 1–2 minutes.
Rest and finish: Let the pizza rest 1–2 minutes so the cheese sets. Top with chives or green onions and a drizzle of hot sauce or pesto if you like.
Slice and serve: Cut into wedges and serve right away.
