Prep the air fryer: Preheat to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes. Lightly oil the basket to prevent sticking.
Cut and season: Slice bacon in half so each piece wraps a small sausage. If using seasonings, mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper in a small bowl.
Wrap the sausages: Roll each sausage tightly in a half strip of bacon.
Overlap the end slightly and place seam-side down. Use a toothpick if the bacon won’t stay put.
Coat with seasoning (optional): Sprinkle or gently press the sugar-spice mix onto the bacon-wrapped sausages. This helps caramelize and adds flavor.
Arrange in the basket: Place the wrapped sausages in a single layer, leaving a little space between each for airflow.
Work in batches if needed.
Air fry: Cook for 10–14 minutes, turning once halfway through. Thin-cut bacon usually finishes around 10–12 minutes; thicker bacon may need closer to 14 minutes.
Check doneness: The bacon should be deep golden and crisp. If it’s still pale, cook 2–3 minutes more.
If using larger sausages, confirm they’re heated through.
Rest briefly: Let them sit for 2–3 minutes after cooking. This helps the caramelized exterior set and keeps the juices inside.
Serve: Transfer to a plate and pair with your favorite dipping sauces. Add toothpicks for easy grabbing.
