Prep the sprouts: Rinse, trim the stem ends, and remove any damaged outer leaves. If the sprouts are larger than a golf ball, cut them in half. Smaller sprouts can stay whole.
Season: Toss sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Keep it light—bacon adds salt too.
Cut the bacon: Slice each bacon strip in half crosswise. Shorter pieces wrap neatly and cook through faster.
Wrap: Wrap one piece of bacon around each sprout, slightly overlapping the ends. Secure with a toothpick if needed, piercing through the seam.
Place seam-side down for best results.
Preheat the air fryer: Set to 390–400°F (200–205°C) for 3–5 minutes. Lightly spray the basket so the bacon doesn’t stick.
Arrange in the basket: Space the sprouts out in a single layer with some room between them. This helps the air circulate and crisp the bacon.
Air fry: Cook for 10–15 minutes, turning halfway.
Start checking at 10 minutes. You want browned, crisp bacon and a tender sprout when pierced with a knife.
Optional glaze: In the last 2 minutes, brush lightly with maple syrup or honey for a glossy, sweet finish. Cook until sticky and caramelized.
Rest and serve: Let them cool 2–3 minutes.
The bacon will firm up and get even crispier. Serve warm.
